Bourses de recherches

Les bourses de recherche soutiennent des séjours en Allemagne d’une durée de 1 à 12 mois et sont généralement accordées à des doctorants hautement qualifiés se rendant en Allemagne pour mener des recherches liées à la thèse. Des subventions de recherche peuvent également être accordées à des postdoctorants récents et à des étudiants à la maîtrise dans des circonstances exceptionnelles.

Les candidats doivent avoir un projet d’études ou de recherches bien défini, établissant la nécessité d’un séjour en Allemagne, et ils doivent avoir été invités à poursuivre leur projet dans une université ou un institut de recherches allemand. Les candidats de toutes les disciplines sont invités à postuler. Pour la médecine ou la médecine dentaire, veuillez communiquer avec le DAAD de New York. Les candidats aux disciplines des arts, des sciences humaines et des sciences sociales doivent avoir une très bonne maîtrise de l’allemand. Les candidats ne doivent pas détenir le statut de doctorat sans thèse (ABD; All But Dissertation) depuis plus de trois ans à la date d’envoi de leur demande.

Au niveau postdoctoral, les candidats peuvent faire une demande de bourse pour une période prolongée, jusqu’à deux ans après l’obtention de leur doctorat, et une demande de bourse pour une période plus courte, jusqu’à quatre ans après l’obtention de leur doctorat. Les candidats doivent être des citoyens ou des résidents permanents des États-Unis ou du Canada. Pour les étrangers vivant actuellement aux États-Unis ou au Canada, les bourses de recherche à long terme (plus de 6 mois) requièrent que le diplôme le plus récemment obtenu l’ait été aux É-U ou au Canada, ou qu’il y sera obtenu avant le début de la bourse. Les candidats aux bourses à court terme (6 mois ou moins) doivent avoir vécu aux É-U/au Canada pendant au moins un an et être actuellement domiciliés aux É-U/au Canada.

Veuillez noter qu’il existe quatre bourses de recherche différentes : Bourses de recherche – Bourses à court terme (1 à 6 mois); Bourses de recherche – Bourses d’un an (7 à 12 mois); Bourses de recherche – Programmes de cotutelle de doctorat.

Les bourses sont attribuées pour un à douze mois. Les bourses pour programmes de cotutelle de doctorat sont accordés pour une période allant jusqu’à 18 mois. Des bourses pour deux mois supplémentaires destinés à des cours d’allemand peuvent être attribuées aux boursiers à long terme, sans nécessiter une seconde demande.
