DAAD Alumni Association Canada
Our Mission
The mission of the DAAD Alumni Association Canada is to:
- strengthen ties between DAAD alumni, both in Canada and abroad;
- promote funding opportunities in Germany and encourage Canadian students and faculty to study and/or conduct research in Germany;
- foster personal and academic contact with Germans and German institutions;
- promote German culture and language at Canadian schools, colleges and universities.
Our Approach
To fulfill this mission, the DAAD Alumni Association Canada works together with the DAAD Information Centre Toronto and the DAAD New York office, as well as with German-related institutions organizing educational or scientific workshops and conferences, member meetings and trips to Germany, and keeping DAAD alumni informed of new developments.

Find German Events Across Canada
In order to encourage and facilitate interactions with “things” (and people!) German, SoGerman.ca presents details on the wide variety of German-related activities taking place across Canada. From information on opportunities for academic study, research stays or learning the German language, to events on all aspects of Germany’s cultural, economic and political life, the website aims to show that Germany truly offers something for everyone.
