Objective

The aim of the research grant is to fund and encourage young academics to study subjects relating to German affairs on a long-term basis.

Who can apply?

The programme is aimed at qualified students, graduates and doctoral candidates from North America who are carrying out research projects on German cultural studies.

What is supported?

The programme funds research visits to universities or non-university institutes, archives and research institutes in Germany.

Duration of funding

1-2 months

Value

A contribution towards travel and accommodation expenses of from 2,000 to 3,000 USD depending on length of stay.
