The Bundestag, Germany’s national parliament, is pleased to announce that is accepting applications to its International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program.

The IPS program is aimed at highly qualified young men and women interested in playing an active and responsible role in shaping their home countries’ democratic future.

International Parliamentary Scholars receive the opportunity to carry out a 3-month internship in the Bundestag. This internship will provide insight into the workings of the German parliamentary system, its political decision-making processes and will include a 3-month work placement with a Member of the Bundestag.

Scholarship recipients have the option to extend their stay in Berlin by two months during which time they have the opportunity to take (free) courses at Berlin-area universities.

The scholarship winners are chosen by the German Bundestag’s independent selection panel.

Deadline for applications: July 31, 2021
