DAAD invites international offices or professors at Canadian universities to nominate a student to be a DAAD Young Ambassador for the 2019-20 academic year.
DAAD Young Ambassadors are undergraduate or Master's students recently returned from a study or research stay in Germany who share their experiences with Germany with peers on their home campus.
DAAD Young Ambassadors are responsible for organizing at least one event per semester on their campuses. They promote study and research in Germany by working with their universities’ study abroad offices, volunteering at study abroad fairs, organizing classroom visits, info sessions, fun events and answering their fellow student’s questions.
In preparation for this role, Young Ambassadors are invited to DAAD’s New York office for a training workshop in mid-August (travel, accommodation and most meals are provided).
DAAD Young Ambassadors carry out their duties in person, but are also available for email inquiries about their respective German host universities, study abroad programs or student life in Germany.

The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2019.
