From April 5th to 8th, the DAAD will present its annual "German Studies in Dialogue" conference in Toronto marking the first time that this event has been offered in North America. The conference will bring more than 60 scholars to Toronto and offer a platform for exchange between scholars of German language and culture from Germany and their colleagues from Canada and the U.S.

Dr. Nina Lemmens, Director of DAAD's North America Regional Office, explains: "The conference's main focus is on the state of the discipline of German Studies in its various settings, and participants will share best practices and strategies with one another in working groups. We have had an excellent response to this format and are looking forward to bringing it to North America."

The attendees of this conference will include The Honourable Mr. Werner Wnendt (Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Canada) along with our organisation's Vice-President, Prof. Dr. Joybrato Mukherjee.
