Forscherin arbeitet mit Schutzbrille im Labor.

The DAAD's RISE Germany program offers undergraduate students from North American universities who are studying in the Natural Sciences or Engineering the chance to apply to complete a summer research internship in Germany. The internships run between 10 and 12 weeks and take place in the lab of a German PhD candidate where the working language is English.

A database containing project descriptions for each internship goes online for six weeks beginning December 1, 2016. During this window, interested students can register with the project portal to see these descriptions and apply to up to three projects. Successful applicants will then receive a scholarship to cover living costs while in Germany along with a stipend to help defray transatlantic travel costs.

The deadline for applications to RISE Germany is January 15, 2017.
